Why is the former Supreme Court Justice of India such a silly man?

I must say I am very concerned about the near juvenile level of meanderings on Justice Katju's blog.

Is this a hard headed individual with decades of legal experience at high level under belt?It seems more like the output of reasonably bright but a bit wet behind the years political science college junior.

Judge(heh) for yourself

What is worrying is that he thinks highly of Rosseau. The godfather of modern liberalism.

Also our friendly neighborhood captain is a frequent poster spammer on his comments board. The captain is a fan of his seemingly.

That about says it all.

  1. 2. Iniyavel, since you mention Katju many times in your comments, I assumed that you were a regular reader of his blog and so asked. Your hilarious take on Katju's hijacked blog in your Leftist Column really amused me. I mean why does Katju abandon his comments section like that and allows so many spam comments? Why can't he just delete those stupid comments? If he does not have the time to check the comments, he should at least enable comment moderation.

I commented on this post because this particular question was not not relevant to other posts.

I don't think Katju's blog is so popular that capt. had to do so much hard work. Maybe because he was banned from other sites, he chose poor Katju's blog.

I have to commend your knowledge of Islamic prophecy. But you also need to extend this to their attitude towards Israel: Hezbollah and Hamas want Israel to disappear from the face of the earth based on this prophecy. That's what is driving their policy. We need to keep this in mind while looking at the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

    22. Iniyavel in the past you chided me for living in the 50s when I brought the anti Brahmin bigotry of the DMK . I admitted that you had a point there that while that ideology is still central to DMK they don't put in practice these days.

Similarly when it comes to anti Hindi agitation, it is you who is living in the past. Do Tamils still care that much about being anti Hindi and anti India? I would say-no. The anti India agitation was squashed permanently by Annadurai during the India-China war.

Tamils support for SL Tamils pretty much ended when LTTE killed Rajiv Gandhi. What does that tell you? Indian Tamils were upset and embarrassed that these FOREIGNERS, yes that's how Indian Tamils view SL Tamils ,killed ONE OF THEIR OWN(yes that's how they saw Rajiv Gandhi for better or worse).

The lead investigator of the assassination was also a Tamil(non Brahmin if you must know) . I think his name was Karthikeyan.

And Im aware of all the crackpot theories insertedin the Jain Commission under UPA pressure that a "foreign hand " aka Mossad was present in the entire operation.
The source for that was a representative from the PLO for gods sake. Gee I wonder what his motivation would've been for promoting such falsehoods!

LTTE was a member of the larger leftist guerilla organizations which ran rampant through out the 1970 and 80s with nationalist ideals but Marxist outlooks. In this they had considerable camaraderie with the ETA, IRA,PLO(founded and funded by the Soviet Union) and other groups.

And Dravidians are self consciously atheist and leftist making a mockery of Tamil civilization which was always religious.
These are a crude people with narrow provincial interests who go around spouting nonsense such as Ravana was a Dravidian king and Rama was an Aryan invader.

Dravidian ideology is a bastard child of the Aryan Invasion Theory which should've been aborted at inception.
The only thing to do is kill it. That is the only way to save Tamil civilization which is now a laughing stock as people there worship Rajnikanth more than Murugan.

After Sanskrit, Tamil has the oldest literary tradition of any language in India. While Sanskrit is a dead language, Tamil continues to thrive. You can understand why Tamils are so proud of their language.

Hindi was a dialect spoken around Delhi in the 12th century which was picked up by the invading Turkish army. In fact, there was no such thing as Hindi until British times. It was just called Urdu which means 'camp language'. Because of the adventures of the Delhi Sultanate and Mughal armies throughout India, Urdu also spread and became popular. During British times, this was called Hindustani which became shortened to Hindi. Now I dont have anything against Hindi. It is a beautiful language. But it is basically just a relic of foreign invasion. Compared to other Indian languages especially Bengali, it lacks literary and intellectual works. Anti-Urdu sentiment was expressed by the Bangladeshis also, which I admire.

We are burdened with English already. If we are also forced into using Hindi, all our regional languages will slowly die. I can accept Hindi as a regional language, but not as a national language.

I am sure there are already laws against corruption. "Banning" wont make a lick of difference anymore than banning rape or murder will reduce the crime rate.

I don't know what you mean by usury(it means different things to different people). Please elaborate.

You misunderstand my position on the Indian state. I wish for something between the European union and the United States where all states have strong autonomy but are still beheld by the central government.
There will be no national taxes except for defense. Each state would be responsible for providing x number of troops and percentage of taxation.
There will be no rich states subsidizing poor states or vice versa. Sink or swim for each.
A state will have the right to refuse large scale immigrations from other states. So Maharashtra can turn back excess Biharis and UPians while Karnataka can place a ban on more Tamils and vice versa.

      @Premchand
That is a popular anti Hindi canard. A form of proto Hindi was already spoken in the Rajput courts on the 9th century and received royal patronage. These Rajputs were ruling Punjabi, Gujarati,Marwari and other rustic peoples speaking dialects which were a combination of Prakrit and Gurjar dialects which in turn contributed to Hindi further.

Most Hindi was lost or subsumed during the Muslim invasions into Urdu as it was a budding language of the elite and lost its patronage.
The relation between Urdu language speakers and Punjabi and Sindhi speakers in Pakistan today is similar to that of Rajput proto Hindi speakers and Punjabi speakers of yesteryear.

Nonetheless Urdu was initially favored even by Hindu revivalists. Well until the late 1800s, the Arya Samaj would circulate its anti Muslim pamphlets in Urdu!
With the collapse of the Mughal empire finally in 1857 ,Urdu took a beating and it was Sanskritized and melded with the remnants of proto Hindi spoken still spoken in Delhi and Rajasthan into the HIndi we know today

I am not saying this as a fan of Hindi. The official Hindi sounds incredibly artificial with its Sanskritic pretensions.

I would prefer Sanskrit as the national language . I don't know why it is seems so unfeasible.

Anti Hindi agitation is to with the Dravidian movement and its hatred ,yes hatred for all things associated with the north. It was not about honoring Tamil culture and language as it was anti north Indian agitation.
Their refusal to worship Rama is part of this phenomenon.

      @Iniyavel
Plenty of non Brahmin Tamils also served their British masters quite well.
And this nonsense of Brahmin advisers whispering wicked things into the ears of good kings which compelled them to be cruel is just that-nonsense.
Very few advisers are skilled rasputins or the power behind the scene. This just propaganda from the media as many in the media either were advisors or like to end up in that position. In general, a leader sorrounds himself with like minded people. So Marthanda Varma was a cruel king , then its on him ,not his advisers.
In U.S and Europe also Jew bashers make these odd claims that Jewish advisers inspire the government to make this or that policy which they dislike. The problem is that it is the politicians who subscribe to those views and just hire those around to help them implement it best.

I have as much time for Brahmin hatred as I do for Jew hatred. Which is to say very little. Its time for communities to take responsibilities for their actions and not turn to scapegoats for their failures. It wasn't Brahmins who put a gun to the heads of Tamil masses and ask them enlist wholescale as mercenaries for Britis and Muslims.
It wasn't Brahmins who asked Thevars to torture and kill Dalits on a regular basis . Neither did they ask Mudaliars and Vellalars to exploit the landless peasants for their amusement.
Brahmins have zero political or economic influence since the 1960s in TN, I ask you where is your ShangriLa? It is an even worse hell hole driven by caste hatred, violence ,corruption and perversion of academica and culture . All headed by what is practically a one party state. AIDMK and DMK "choices" are like coke and pepsi. Both shameless kleptocracies that would make even Mayawati blush with indignation.

      Delete
    30. TN is a hell hole is it? FYI Bihari workers who come there in droves experience less harassment than seen in most other states. Caste based violence is only sporadically seen in some pockets of the south and every time it is crushed with an iron hand. Where in India do we not find perversion of academia? The BJP is just itching to revise Indian history with addition of our accomplishments like nuclear submarine 5000 years ago and so on. In a one party state, people dont have a choice. But in TN, people knowingly and willingly chose DMK/ADMK come election time. If we do away with these parties, what fresh choice do we have? Congress, BJP, and Communists.

Why was this outsider Jewish guy able to steal from the Vedas and become number 1 while our Brahmins who have been studying for thousands of years didn't come even close to his achievements in physics?

According to this logic doesn't it seem like Jews>Hindus since they know how make use of Vedas and extract the secrets of quantum physics, theory of relatively, nuclear science, rocket propulsion within and what have you

Eclipse can be seen from the comfort of home :) This is the first time I have observed an eclipse actually and I was pretty excited. But there wasn't much to see. The moon was coppery red, and there was a shadow in the top-right corner. Since the eclipse ended at 7:15 PM, we could only see a small part of it after sunset.

I have heard rumours that if you balance an iron pestle on a copper plate during the eclipse, it will stay upright until the eclipse it over. But I have not been able to verify it so far.

    12. I get a strong feeling that the captains Hindi and Urdu not to mention English is much better than his grasp of Malayalam or Sanskrit which he crows so much about.

This ties with our super Hindu captain who admitted that he doesn't participate in pujas but leaves such stuff to his wife. If doesn't even participate a puja let alone alone conduct one why should I take seriously his opinion on the mystical aspects of Hinduism?

Does he even realize the significance of "waking the gods" (suprabhatam) and washing their feet and pedestalizing them (upachara) and giving them offerings as if they are guests in you home?
And how it ties in basic tantra and the relationship to prana and chakras and so on?

I know the answer to that question. Apparently quoting a hundred foreigners about the glory of Hinduism and some quantum physics in pseudo science and pseudo Hindu package characterizes you as a true Hindu these days. By these standards I suppose Krishna and Vikramaditya weren't Hindus at all! why Krishna enquired the opinion on the Vedas from Kalayavana(an invader from across the sea, possibly Sumerian or Egyptian) . Neither did Vikramaditya (who attained to Shiva and overcame Shani) who failed to press the Saka overlords on their opinions on the Puranas.

I would stick with English as well. It is a bit late in the day for Sanskrit. Its not easy to convince our rabble to adopt Sanskrit as the national language. Even if we do, what is the practical advantage in that? At least English gives us an edge over China. The EU has no trouble with using English as a lingua franca.

      Delete
    20. @ PremChand

I hold the same views on english as yours. While discussing on this topic with Sagar,I had also tried to point out this disadvantage of Sanskrit,ie,the huge backlog that would be created by an ancient national language replacing the current one.It is similar to EU adopting Latin for all official and academic purposes.I have no personal animosity against Sanskrit. All Indians should learn Sanskrit in their school carriculum with rigour.I regret not having learnt it till now.But that is very different from establishing it into a full-fledged national language.
YSV Hindi is not our national language. It is the co-official language according to the Constitution.Hindi has been unofficially termed as the national language.According to the last census,41% of Indian population speak Hindi and a major fraction of the Non-hindi group(which comprises 59% of the population) also understand Hindi .So if any Indian language deserves the national status, then it should be Hindi according to stats.According to the latest census, the second most popular language in India(on numerical grounds) is Bengali, which is spoken by only 8% people. So Hindi is 5 times stronger than even the second one in the list. And I am speaking only about the mother-tongue stats. If you consider Hindi-understanding % then it might be 80-85% or even more.I am not a supporter of Hindi like the Sangh Parivar,I am just saying this on the basis of stats.I would also like to have English as the sole official language just like Premchand.

Also I don't understand your hatred for other Indian languages. Language is after all just a means of communication. What's wrong in learning different languages? Just like you love Tamil, people in the North love their languages. The more languages you learn the better it is for you and your brain.

You don't mind Russian, Japanese etc. but hate Hindi just because it is a North Indian language. Well, I don't have such prejudices and am proud that I can speak and write in Hindi quite well and also know to speak multiple Indian languages.

Yeah it is necessary to sit on a bed or wooden chair .And if you sit on wooden chair, make sure that the chair is a strong one ,with a wall or bed supporting it in the back. Also keep your leg disconnected with some wooden object from the ground, incase you use a chair. This is why bed is the best option.I used to sit on bed and kept a pillow behind my back against the wall.Direct connection with wall or floor should not be done. This is because the awakening energy will be conducted away to the ground and you will not be able to progress.Sitting on a mat on the floor will not provide the reqd insulation, unless the mat is as thick as a bed. When I had practised this meditation last time,I could feel strong vibrations in my spine. So it is also essential that you keep a pillow between your back and the wall. The pillow will ensure that you do not come in contact with the wall directly, and also provide a cushion when your body gets spontaneous shakings.Otherwise you might be thrown backwards :) However if you sit on a wooden chair, pillow will not be reqd i f the chair has a back support for leaning.Still I think it is safer to sit on a bed while leaning against the wall(with pillow support as I have mentioned). The safety issue is mainly because of the spontaneous vibrations that you will feel and nothing else. You will feel sideways vibrations of spine upto the Manipur(3rd) chakra. From the Anahata chakra(4th) the force will not be sideways but will be vertical,ie,you will start feeling an upward pull and your body will get lighter.Karma is stored upto the Manipur chakra, and the spontaneous shakes are the force of Kundalini removing this karma.
If I couldn't clarify,do knock me and I will try my best again :)

    8. JAM, Is Padmasana necessary for this meditation? I cannot sit in that pose for long. I'd prefer Sukhasana.

Iniyavel, don't judge Mediacrooks by the number of comments. Mediacrooks has large no. of Twitter followers and his content is shared in all social media sites. And JAM has found that his pagerank and Alexa rankings are way above the capt's. No doubt, capt's blog has good traffic and his content is also shared on Whatsapp, Facebook etc, but since he brags so much and exaggerates it's very difficult to believe him. For instance he says that his blog crosses 2 million pageviews in hours. (In 2013 it was in days.) If his blog really gets that much traffic why doesn't he publish his stats?

      Delete
    9. @ Anu

Padmasana is not necessary.Plain sukhasana is sufficient.Even a chair sitting is ok,but I have elaborated on why bed would be better than a chair. In case of chair you will have to keep your feet over some wooden board,so that your body is disconnected from the ground.Sitting in sukhasana on a bed is the best way.The bed should either have a railing or should be connected to a wall or cupboard.Put a pillow between your back and the railing/wall,so that you might lean against it and direct contact of the body with the backwall will be avoided.

      @ Iniyavel & Anu

When Alexa shows Mediacrooks is way above AV in global rankings,I find it hard to believe that Capt gets 2 million views per hour.Infact Ravinar uses the no. of blogviews counter on the top of his page.It is an authentic source of gauging popularity,AFAIK.Capt hasn't yet put that counter in his blog.Previously I didn't doubt Capt's claims of popularity at all.I was not actually interested in popularity. But the claims of Capt on his google plus stats made me suspicious.Only fools and shameless liars will bank on g+ stats. If you spam popular portals with same content as that of your blog and share a large number of pics from the net, your g+ views will soar automatically to multibillion levels. If you are judging Capt's popularity vis-a-vis Ravinar with the number of comments, you are completely wrong. Many of the comments in Capt's blog are his own and the same group of minions repeatedly post in his blog.Even you and I were once part of this fool's club once :) Ravinar doesn't engage with posters unless absolutely reqd and doesn't take questions on lactose intolerance as Anu pointed :D Even a cursory glance at the comments section of Ravinar will clarify the quality of visitors MC gets.Speaking of quality,YSV now gets a few superb readers in his blog like Sagar,PremChand,Anu or you(and even a few others) who contribute positively to his blog content. When I first started visiting his blog 6-7 months back,he mostly got acolytes of Capt including me at that time :)

    2. JAM, thanks for that! Also the next time you visit Vadakayil's blog, you might find him saying that his blog crosses 2 million pageviews in seconds. He simply can't stop bragging about himself, can he? It's always about "I, me myself". Wonder how this doesn't tire his readers! How his wife tolerates his boring chatter is beyond me! Making tea at 3 am. least is okay I think, than listening to his blabber.

And once he boasted that his blog site has the capability to influence the voters for 2019 elections and Modi's fate depends on whether he supports him or not during those elections. What a joke!

    3. Anu will you start this meditation soon?

      Delete
    4. Yes JAM, I'm planning to. I seem to have all the time for all sorts of unproductive activities but when it comes to this, my mind starts creating all kinds of excuses. Are you doing this meditation regularly?

      Delete
    5. @ Anu

No I am not doing this as of now.I took this up in the past, and left this just when my kundalini was about to awaken. If you start this meditation, make a determined approach that you would stick to this. And Anu one more thing,ie,this meditation is the door to real spirituality. So start it only if your mind is stable enough and geared up for that.Otherwise you will inevitably leave it after a few days, just as I had done. That defeats the very purpose of the meditation.I would take this meditation technique in the future. As of now I am chanting a few mantras which give me a good time :)
Anu BTW the meditation technique is based on science and not anything abstract. When we close our eyes and stare at the horizon through the line of the middle of eyebrows,we actually stare at the chidakash as called by yogis. We can't see anything in the chidakash because our spiritual eyes are not developed. But the chidakash is always present inside our eyes, all the time.Once in meditation,I distinctly remember a particular experience. The darkness of my closed eyes was filled with many small flashes of light, just like twinkling of stars in a night sky. Then it seemed that I was really staring at the chidakash and not the mere darkness of the eye.
Raising kundalini with pranayam or hathayoga or mantra chanting,as is being propagated throughout the net by modern Kundalini gurus(our capt included :) ) , is not the best method. The best one to raise kundalini is this meditation technique which had been kept secret through the ages. The efficacy of this technique lies in the fact that it enforces natural kumbhaka/slowing down of breath very easily.

    2. Iniyavel, I do not have a Twitter account. I just check the TL's of Twitter accounts that I like, without logging into twitter. What is this #IoTChat and #eWEEKchat all about. Can you please elaborate? BTW, I found out your Twitter handle. It starts with 'moon' doesn't it?

Also I find it hard to believe that you of all people do not know about Whatsapp. From google search:
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other!. Now don't tell me you don't have a cell phone.

Regarding Alexa ranking and pagerank, check this:

did you note that in the last 3 months MC has declined by 30000 ranks globally while AV has almost proceeded by the same.Do not forget the spamming of AV and still just 3000 rank ahead of MC in India, and just 30000 globally. So how is AV far more popular than MC?The last time I checked alexa was almost 6 months back, and MC was way ahead of AV at that time,as is evident by the change of rank in the last 3 months.

      http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/ajitvadakayil.blogspot.com

the rankings are changing with .com and .in domains in alexa.I checked with ajitvadakayil.blogspot.com according to the google results address.
Iniyavel what's your opinion about this one :

Infact I myself didn't bother to crosscheck his claims, when I had initially read this post in early 2013, until just a few months back, and I was stunned to see 318 getting multiplied by a factor of 1000 in alexa in a span of 1 year ;) Ofcourse Alexa is a R sponsored zionist agent !

I did open an account on twitter, but I don't remember either the name or the password at present.I will be opening up a fresh account very soon. Then I will notify you.

    14. Iniyavel, porn sites must be having more traffic than Vadakayil's. As per capt. theory, that means those sites have far more superior content as compared to capt's blog and since Sunny Leone has more G+ profile views than capt, she is more intelligent and popular than our capt. At least she's not a hypocrite like our dear capt.

Anu don't you know that Sunny Leone,Paris Hilton and such others are also campaigners like Capt :P ? Otherwise how would they collect so high number of g+ views :D ? Anu I think Capt should accept the profile below as his Guru :)

did you read the above link in the past?Capt's jealousy for Ravinar has been exposed in his comment in the above post.Ofcourse Shobha De is also envious about Ravinar. This alone shows that serious people would take Ravinar anyday over AV :) I pray to God that Ravinar remains alive and MC becomes the most popular blog in India. The one point where I agree with Capt is that our nation seriously needs a 5th pillar in the form of internet. The 4 th pillar of media has become useless.Recently 23 nations had requested Indian govt to evacuate their respective citizens from Yemen. This news should have been at the top of every newspaper. But the major part of print-media chose to put it as a minor one in the middle pages, whileuseless shit was covered in the front pages.

    24. JAM, I had read that post of Shoba De long ago. Capt was a frequent spammer on Shobha De's blog too. Someone sent Ravinar's worst journalists post to Shobha de by email and she published that in entirety on her blog without giving due credit to he the author. In other words, she plagiarized the entire post. When Ravinar and others protested, she wrote that haughty post.

Also the way you are warning me about that meditation, I'm beginning to get scared. If you can suggest some other form of meditation which is mild and help me get some tranquility then I'm ready for it.

Regarding Sunny Leone, JAM & Iniyavel do you know that capt has dedicated an entire post for her calling her a curse to Indian womanhood and what not but not forgetting to post her vulgar images along with it.

So that is the history of that post.Shobha De and Capt are probably alter egos of each other :-P

If you are searching for a mild meditation then do not take up the kundalini meditation of Nigurananda. This is not to discourage you in any way,but I have a gut-feeling that you are not ready for Kundalini meditation yet.Ofcourse neither am I at this point. The meditation technique is meant for serious aspirants of spirituality. That does not mean that the meditation technique would harm you, rather this technique is the safest way to raise kundalini and comes from Mahavatar Babaji(as I had elaborated in a previous comment). But the basic purpose of Kundalini is to introduce you to the world of real spirituality(with black holes, hyperspace, interplanetary travels and all such things).SO I would suggest that you take this meditation technique for practice in the future with a more stable mindset. However the final call is yours, and I repeat the meditation technique will not harm you in any way.

Anu on the point of a mild meditation, you can consider the "NItyananda" and "Gauranga" mantrarajas.Believe me the sound of these two mantras are very enriching .The mantras require no qualification, any person of any religion can take them up.You can just add them with you daily routine of worship. Here's the links :

      http://nitaigaurkriya.com/2013/02/06/5-good-reasons-to-chant-the-nityananda-and-gauranga-mantras/

Apart from this the Hanuman Chalisa is a bomb of positive energy and radiance.I have started chanting this 12 times everyday with full devotion. After I finish my chanting, the room seems to vibrate with the divine words of the Chalisa.
As Iniyavel shared,Aditya Hrudayam is also a powerful chant.I have read many positive reviews on this in the net. However I do not chant that myself.

These will also help you ease up your life and solve your problems,as chanting reduces and clears the negative karma which we acquire from our previous births.

    27. Suryanamaskar in the early morning is also a great exercise to begin the day.It will be better if you do this exercise with the 12 mantras for each pose .Also a sense of humility and devotion to Sun God while performing this exercise increases it's potency.

Chandra Namaskar is most probably a concoction and not a part of the original yogic system. However if it is beneficial to the body and health, then no problem in doing it.For that matter even the present version of Suryanamaskar which is widely practised today is not the original one.The ancient SN had 18 poses.
