Why Bollywood is Pakistan's propaganda factory? No its not due to Dawood
In the early days of the Mumbai film industry , Pakistan was never really mentioned and simply referred to as "dushman" (enemy) or "pados" (neighbor). Why this was the case I really dont know. I suspect it had as much to do with Nehruvian sentimentality as the stupidity of the Censor Board. This all changed almost overnight in the late 90s when Pakistan began getting mentioned left and right in movies both pro and con. Initially con and then pro. Im old enough to remember the movies of the early 90s which were produced by D company . How did you know they were produced by the mafia? Some of it was intuitive- if you felt sleazy after watching it but couldnt articulate why then its a mafia produced film. A lot of it involved noble Muslims, cowardly Hindu men and sexually loose Hindu women.
