"Hindu nationalist" turns over country to Muslim moneylenders, bites hand that feeds him

It appears that "Hindutvadi" Modi has given UAE and possibly other GCC governments permission to prosecute those Indians who fled the countries leaving behind piles of debt. Now this is certainly not a defense of those who took massive loans from UAE banks and refused to repay them. If you are unable to pay your debts you should be held liable in some way or the problem. The quandry is the UAE banking system, demographics and laws create an odd situation- the majority of the population is expatriate, specifically Indian and Pakistani, the banks exist to sell loans and credit cards to this population but when the loans cant be paid, there is an exit strategy for them to leave the country and hightail it back to India.
The way people get loans is that it is dependent on their job-if their company is reputable and listed along with a benchmark salary they can get these facilities. But if they get fired, then they are in a precarious situation where if they dont have enough reserves to make the installment, it becomes a court case as UAE has no bankruptcy laws. The UAE police and courts themselves expressed their frustration at this situation and dont wish to get involved with bank business but as of now they have to follow the law as it is. Now in India you do have aggressive collectors hired by these banks who create discomfort but they have no real power. You can hire your own goons to beat them up and thats usually the end of that.

Now Hindu nationalist Modi whose heart is apparently filled with love for Hindus and contempt for Muslims has given these Muslim nations leeway to collect their pound of flesh from Hindus. I may be speculating a bit but a chunk of these Hindus as well as Muslims and Christians are from Kerala and Southern Kanara where BJP is far from popular . One wonders if this is sort of punishment for Kerala for not toeing the Hindutva line. First the abuse of Bali, the opening of Ayyapa to women( this was a rare secular BJP collaboration) and now this.

Though I think generally Modi has soured on NRIs for some reason even as these knuckleheaded NRIs gave him their strongest support. NRIs in UK and U.S differ from those in GCC as the latter are from Punjab, Gujarat and AP(U.S, not U.K) and more amenable to BJP as was proven by his successful tours of those countries. But then the question is why he implemented taxation of income NRIs earned abroad. Even the uber leftist Indira Gandhi did not consider such a thing. All I will say to my fellow NRIs who cry over taxation is this- hahaha play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Modi more likely than anything is desperate for any source of revenue to bolster the disaster of the economy he presides over.  His plan of having an escape valve for Indian workers to U.S with Trump has come to a grinding halt with the corona virus creating even nationalist feeling especially as the U.S economy is on the edge of bottoming out.

I see Hindutvadis are very silent on this issue. For sake of whatever is remaining of their dignity I would urge them to remain so.
